April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player in the US, is among a select group of women who have won medals in multiple Olympics. Alix-Klineman will compete with April Ross Tokyo for her third gold medal over the next few days. Ross will also be hoping for her very first Olympic medal. Perhaps this is her only opportunity, given that she is 39 years old. Nevertheless she is confident that winning the gold medal is at hand. Ross on NBC Boston, said that when the team performs very well, or even at all, they can earn a gold. Therefore, I'm hoping to have some luck as well. Ross was born August 22, 1982, located in Costa Mesa California. She lived there along with her entire family. Apart from playing in numerous sport, she also attended Newport Harbor High School. In her time as a college athlete she was also a participant in indoor volleyball and track. However, she was a standout during this game. According to her bio, she played a middle blocker and an outside hitting volleyball player during her high-school career. She was named one of the Gatorade National Circle of Champions player of the year in 1999 for her achievements. In 2000, she was recognized as the Orange County Athlete of the Year for volleyball. Ross is currently working with Klineman from 2017. However, Ross's beach game was well-established long before the year. It's true that she has won numerous events, one of which was with the legendary player of volleyball. Ross teamed up together with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and also was Klineman's coach. Kessy's teammate Ross, who won the world title together with Kessy in 2009 was also significant on the world stage. The duo took silver in London's Olympic Games. Misty Maytreanor's legendary team as well as Kerri Jennings were the winners of gold. Ross Jennings replaced May-Treanor when she retired. In 2016, the pair were awarded bronze medals at the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. Ross played for the USC Trojans in the college years following her graduation from high school. The time she spent at USC was quite impressive. When she was a freshman at the school in 2000 she played her way to Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman of the Year accolades. She also was an All-American. The Trojans had the chance to get to the Final Four with her help. She endured a great personal loss during her sophomore year, however, she was able to achieve the All-American award. In her last two seasons with the Trojans program, she guided them to a national title each year. In her own way Ross established her status as a legend by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This award was given to the top female college volleyball players across the United States. Ross had been an international studies major at USC. Margie Ross was never able to witness her daughter's rise to the beach volleyball spotlight. Ross's mom Margie passed away in 2001 when Ross was still an USC sophomore. She had breast cancer. This meant that Ross continues to be close to her parent who died. Margie is a source of inspiration throughout her life, as well as on the beaches.
